  1. In a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the water, sesame oil, brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, garlic and ginger.
  2. While sauce is starting to come to a simmer, in a small bowl, whisk together the slurry and set aside. When saucepan comes to a simmer, add the slurry to saucepan and continue to whisk slowly while bringing sauce back to a simmer. After a few minutes of simmering, the sauce will thicken up.
  3. Remove from heat when it begins to thicken (it will thicken more as it cools) and refrigerate.
