  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium high heat. Add the diced onions, green peppers, and some salt and pepper, cooking for 4-5 minutes until softened. Stir occasionally. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until fragrant. Remove the vegetables.
  2. Add a little olive oil if needed. Add the ground beef and ground sausage. Add salt and pepper. Break it up while cooking, browning and cooking it through, 6-8 minutes. Once it’s cooked, add the vegetables and mix together.
  3. Remove from the heat and let cool before refrigerating.
